Gravelines-Dunkerque Signs EuroCup Combo Guard
Gravelines-Dunkerque has added another American talent to their roster. Following in the footsteps of Mikael Hopkins and Aubrey Dawkins, the club announced the signing of Leonard "LJ" Thorpe for the 2026-2027 season.
The 27-year-old American combo guard, standing at 1.96 meters, joins the French team after a strong performance in Germany with the Hamburg Towers. In the German BBL, Thorpe averaged 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. He also showcased his skills in the EuroCup, where he averaged an impressive 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in just 23 minutes of play.
Known for his athleticism and explosive play, the tall point guard/shooting guard is expected to bring a significant physical impact to the Maritime team. His offensive aggression, ability to drive to the basket, and capacity to defend multiple positions are anticipated to be key contributions.
